Trees of Hope seeks Christmas trees for Harvey families.
Hi there! I’m a local mom wanting to help with the next stage of rebuilding in our wonderful community. I’ve recently launched a donations campaign called “Trees of Hope” to collect new, pre-lit, 4 and 6ft Christmas trees for distribution to families who lost their own during Harvey. Log on to our Facebook hub where you can find out more. Our donations deadline is November 16th in order to make the trees available on Friday, November 17th, so that people can decorate over Thanksgiving.
We’ve already experienced incredible generosity but the demand outweighs the supply so more 6ft trees are urgently needed.
If you would like to get involved you can purchase a tree in one of three ways:
1. Via our Trees of Hope Walmart Wishlist.
2. Via a donation through paypal email: firstname.lastname@example.org
3. Or you can purchase one from any good retailer and send to:
Trees of Hope
3723 Victory Terrace Lane
Katy, Texas 77450
In addition to being able to give out trees, local artist, Liliana Delgado, has designed a beautiful, one-off work which we’re able to turn into greetings cards, the James Williams Elementary ‘Read, Deed and Run’ program is making ornaments and we have 100 hand-crochet stars arriving from Bastrop, Texas where one family lost their Christmas in the fires of 2011. All these items will be packaged for delivery together with the trees.
Our local yummy bakery, Proud Pie has generously donated four gift cards for a prize draw. Anyone who purchases a tree will automatically be entered and the winners will be announced on November 18th!
We want to thank you in advance for your support!
Please email us at Trees of Hope Katy for additional information or if you lost your tree this year and would like a Tree of Hope, we will gladly help!
